It puzzles me that people do not like to get lost.

Everyone should get completely and utterly lost AT LEAST once in their lifetime.

I could make a living out of becoming lost.

If people learned to embrace their driving...getting lost, stuck in traffic, etc....everyone would be much more happy. Hell, if I had my license and a car (haha), I would purposely take random lefts and rights and drive and drive and see where I ended up..and if I can find my way back home - no maps. If stuck in traffic for hours, I would have amazing mix CDs on hand and would sing quite aloud in the comfort of my car.

Point being - if you get lost, embrace it. Embrace life. If you do not embrace one tiny thing, you become angry, and everything that you do the rest of the day is affected by that small thing of which angered you. It steamrolls, even if you do not think that it does.

Just live.

I want to do beautiful simple things.

I want to go to Bonhomme Carnavale which starts next week in Quebec City. It is the largest winter festival in the world.

I love winter.

I want to go to Ottawa's Winterlude Festival and skate the length of the world's largest ice skating rink, the Rideau Canal, which is 5 miles long.

Jump into the clouds.

Swim around.

They suck you in and never let go.

Lay on your back and stare at the moon - so close.

Look below and see the world.

How are you not falling through the wisps?

A bird is nipping at your ear.

It falls dead - the atmosphere

was too much for a being to withstand.

You are otherworldly.

Let it sink in.

Believe in the cloud, it will carry you across the Earth.

Look below.

Let go.

You melt.

You fall.

The eloquent wind guides you away.

To where you will rest for a permanent stay.

Look up at the clouds.

They float so aimlessly for you.

Quote from my favorite movie, Amélie....this quote starts my favorite sequence of the movie:

"Amélie has a strange feeling of absolute harmony.
It's a perfect moment.
A soft light, a scent in the air, the quiet murmur of the city.
She breathes deeply. Life is simple and clear.
A surge of love, an urge to help mankind comes over her."

I have wanted to learn French and go to Paris since 3rd grade or so. I hope that I can make that dream a reality. I want to learn the ins and outs of language, and plan to study French intensively this summer on my own since my teacher is incompetent and is not teaching us anything useful at all. They are supposedly talking about a taking a double Spanish/French club trip next year (since it will be the last year in which our school even has French...they are deleting it from our curriculum to save money and I will be without a language senior year) to Spain and France. Which would be absolutely AMAZING. I just want to walk on Europe's ancient streets, being overloaded with images of the people and the events that took place there.

I read a book two days ago that tells you all about yourself based on the day of your birthday. The September 18th entry was completely accurate of myself. I mentioned to my sister Monday or so that I was interested in film and wanted to get a camera and start...and then this book confirmed my thoughts, telling me that as a future career, I would be a great filmmaker.

Short films would be amazing to make. I just need...uh...a camera first. That will take awhile. I'd like to think that I have an amazing eye for art. I think that everything is beautiful, and when given a camera take a picture of absolutely everything. However, there is nothing very interesting to film in the middle of Amish country, but that is the challenge I suppose. I want to watch some film noir. I'm not too interested in all of the crime in the film noir movies...more particularly the style and dark feel of every scene. Eh, I think I would really enjoy making short films though once I mastered the trickiness of it all. But then again I want to and think that I can do anything.
